Choose people who know your character, work ethic, and growth — not just your grades.

  • Teachers who have taught you in a class where you participated, asked questions, and improved over time.

  • School counselors, academic advisors, or coaches who have seen your leadership or teamwork.

  • Mentors from community programs, volunteer organizations, or church who can speak to your values, dedication, or service.

Tip: Colleges value honesty and insight more than titles. A meaningful letter from a teacher who truly knows you is stronger than one from a principal who barely does.
