Module 4: Securing Recommendation Letters
A recommendation letter is more than a requirement — it’s a reflection of the relationships you’ve built. Take time to connect, show appreciation, and plan ahead. Your teachers and mentors want to help you succeed, but your preparation and respect for their time will make all the difference.
After your recommender submits your letter:
Send a thank-you email or note.
Let them know the outcome (“I got accepted to my top-choice school!”).
Stay in touch — you never know when you’ll need a letter again for scholarships, internships, or graduate school.
